The students know me as Dr. Veglia.

I have been a nurse for over 20 years and a school nurse since 2016.  I have cared for children and families in primary care clinics, in the emergency room and now in the school setting.  I have been lucky to be the School Nurse in Saint Paul Public Schools since 2016.

I am passionate about keeping kids healthy and love working with children and their families. As a school nurse, I am dedicated to protect the health and safety of students and enhance the educational process by addressing health-related barriers to learning.

Education:  University of Pennsylvania: Bachelors of Science in Nursing & Master of Science in Nursing.  University of Minnesota: Doctorate of Nursing Practice

Certifications:  Nationally Certified School Nurse.  Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  

I am originally from Massachusetts, but have lived in Minnesota since 2000.  I live in Minneapolis with my three children, husband, dog and cat.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, walking in nature, reading and baking.
