Welcome Back to Visual Art at Benjamin E. Mays Afrocentric Magnet School!

I am honored and excited to partner with you this year as your scholar explores Kuumba (creativity) and self-expression in our Visual Art classroom. 

I earned my Visual Art degree and completed my M.Ed and teaching licensure program at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. During Art School, I was deeply invested in ceramics and printmaking worlds, and am passionate about deepening those practices in our classroom. 

There is nothing like the creativity of children and I am excited to work with you and your child, help facilitate the growth of their Art skills, and to deepen the ways in which they express themselves and explore their Art world through the work that we do together.
