Speech-Language

Benjamin E Mays offers the following speech/language services: interventions, evaluations and treatment for the following areas:

• Articulation: Helping students with their speech sounds and intelligibility.
• Language: Helping students with both understanding what is spoken to them as well as using their language.
• Fluency: Helping students who stutter.
• Voice: Helping students who have difficulty with their vocal cords such as nodules.

Interventions are provided by the speech-language pathologist before any evaluation. If the intervention is not successful, the next step is a speech-language evaluation. Evaluations are done to look at whether or not the student has a speech/language impairment. 

We work with students in general education and Level 3 programs such as Autism.
