Pre-Kindergarten
In Pre-Kindergarten, we practice following the rules and routines of our classroom and school.
We practice social skills such as kindness, sharing and compromising. We will increase our pre-literacy skills by learning an abundance of vocabulary, practice the alphabet names and sounds, rhyming and alliteration.
We will also explore art, science and math while learning to be a member of a community.
If you are interested in registering for the Pre-Kindergarten program you can start by contacting the Student Placement Center at 651-632-3700.
Our Pre-K Curriculum
The SPPS Pre-Kindergarten Program is rooted in a deep commitment to standards-based education, and in efforts to align with SPPS' Strategic Plan, Strong Schools, Strong Communities (SSSC), has created a working draft of a research-based, standard-driven curriculum with a scope and sequence for clear expectations of what teachers will cover in instruction.
